Relatively unknown, the handpan is a melodic percussion instrument with unique features. It is surprising not only due to its saucer shape, but also its sound quality. It emerged in 2009 thanks to the creativity of Sabina Schärer and Felix Rohner.

The hang drum is formed of two shells and you just hit the metal using your hands and fingers to produce different notes. You can create magnificent melodies even with no experience of music theory, since it is what we call an intuitive instrument. You just have to let your imagination run free and be guided by your inspiration!
